North of the Ekati Mine Misery Pit, between the Misery haul road and Lac du Sauvage.

This site is located on a steep east-facing slope down and is centered around a cored borehole (NGO-DD15-2005) containing a thermistor string. The slope is steep with similar vegetative characteristics as with the 2005 borehole. The terrain exhibits what appear to be solifluction lobes. The terrain has few hummocky features. Towards the North is rolling flat terrain, towards the East there is a lake, hill and plains. Towards the South one can see the Ekati haul road and some hills.
