Site location
The automated camera was installed at this set of coordinates (WGS84 map datum) on the western side of the lake located on Ward Hunt Island, off the north coast of Ellesmere Island.
Site description
The northernmost lake in Canada. Lake generally shallow but with a maximum depth of 9,7 m. The lake area is 0.35 km2 and is snow-fed. The catchment area is 1.82 km2. This lake had a perennial ice cover of about 4 m until recently. It outflows to the Arctic Ocean (south shore of Ward Hunt Island).
