Bedrock of gneiss and granite. Surficial deposits of marine origin. Predominantly coniferous with barren, lichen and moss. Clean up site, old barrels lying around, probably contaminated. Used to be a closed pond, the the permafrost has since melted and the pond merged with the river. Thermokarst activity.
