Site location
Natural environment site. The study site is located on the southern plain in the valley of glacier C-79, in the southwest section of the island.
Site description
Subsite: Humid zone / Surficial geology: Poorly consolidated sandstone and shale (Lancaster formation). Cretaceous/Tertiary periods. Ice wedge polygons over peat and eolian sand (Allard, 1996).
