Site location
Inlet located on the northern coast of Ellesmere Island.
Site description
Very deep inlet with a maximal depth of at least 715 m. M'Clintock Inlet contained a freshwater layer of about 4 m thick in 2008. RADARSAT-1 SAR data indicated that this shallow ice-dammed lake would be very large (292 km2; Veillette et al. 2008).
