The second version of the CLPPP was confined to a study area within 100 km of the Labrador Sea coastline and also includes additional peatland permafrost complexes that were validated during the Summer 2022 field campaign. The second version of the CLPPP also includes an additional column of data that describes the type of peatland permafrost landform within the complex as palsa, peat plateau, or mixed.
