Subarctic forest tundra zone, near the tree line, on the shores of Hudson Bay, Nunavik, Quebec, Canada. Environment characterized by sporadic black spruce and larch and dominant shrub tundra on discontinuous permafrost. The Umiujaq research station is part of the SILA Network of the CEN.

Open field measurement sites (unless noted) in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017, at the time of maximum snowpack (approximately at maximum snow water equivalent). Number of samples variable by year.
