A groundwater monitoring well, a snow pole and two casings containing data acquisition systems for water content and temperature probes are used to measure respectively the groundwater level, the height of the snow cover and the unfrozen water content and temperature of the ground. The heat flux plate was installed at a depth of 8 cm. The thermistors were installed at depths of 2 and 6 cm.
