The three plots sample are located on a top of a palsas in a peatmoss soil. The valley contains many lithalsas and palsas which are surrounded by wetlands. The site was chosen for his high topography and the thickness of the peat. The whole active layer was in peatmoss soil. The active layer is meanly 50 cm thick.
Subsite: BGR_01_02_03 / Surficial geology: The surface is compose of peatmoss. Lower down start a layer of clay rich in ice. / Deciduous shrubs (betula glandulosa) and bare soil (peat).
