Meteorological driving data

Meteorological data used as driving input to simulate snow and soil properties at Bylot Island. Available from August 1979 to June 2015, they consist in air temperature (K) and specific humidity (g kg-1) at 2 m above ground, wind speed (m s-1) at 10 m above ground, incoming shortwave and longwave radiation (W m-2), precipitation rate (solid and liquid, kg m-2 s-1) and atmospheric pressure (Pa). Air temperature and humidity, and wind speed are from the BylSta station between July 2014 - June 2015. From July 2004 to June 2014, air temperature and wind speed were taken from the SILA tower (CEN, 2016). Missing variables and data gaps were filled with ERA-interim reanalyses data (Dee <i>et al.</i>, 2011).
