Spatial coordinates of lakes experiencing colour change due to the activity of retrogressive thaw slumps
Description
The data is in the form of five txt files, each containing a list of the spatial coordinates (decimal degrees in WGS84) of the approximate centroids of lakes in a given part of the western Canadian Arctic that changed colour (from deep blue to turquoise or beige) due to the activity of retrogressive thaw slumps between 1984-2018. The entry for each lake includes the years of colour change (start and end). Some lakes experienced two or three periods of changed colour and these were recorded. Lakes that exhibited altered colours at the start of the record are coded as starting in 1900. Lakes that continued to exhibit an altered colour at the end of the record are coded as ending in 2100. The data were developed by visual observation using Google Earth Engine Timelapse.
