Soil water content

Soil water content of soil samples collected in the Narsajuaq River Valley in 2016 and 2017. The samples were collected in volumetric cylinders (101.76 cm3) or from soil discs cut from drill cores (variable volume depending on the thickness of the disks, ~1 cm). In the laboratory, the wet samples were dried at 75°C for 24 hours before being weighed to obtain the dry mass. Then, water content was obtained using the equation (wet mass (g) - dry mass (g)) / wet mass (g) * 100.
